CLOSING A CIRCUIT
(Bimettalic Strip in a fire alarm) As the bimetallic strip heats up... it closes the circuit to sound off the bell. |
In this website you can learn about circuit components and electricity in the home. You can also investigate the brightness of the bulb in a circuit by....
1) adding more bulbs to a circuit 2) adding more batteries to a circuit 3) using thicker wire in a circuit 4) using longer wire in a circuit |
Go through this guide to learn about electricity and electrical circuits with a study guide and a quiz. You can play alone or play with friends.

Open the book and flip the pages by clicking on the bottom right corner. You will be interacting with the book by making a circuit, and using a switch to close a circuit and answering questions. See how well you do!
DO ONLY THE FIRST TWO SECTIONS (A and B). |
Using the materials given (1 bulb, 1 switch, 1 battery, and wires), make a series circuit that will light the bulb.
|
Using the materials given make a series circuit with 2 bulbs. Then make a parallel circuit with 2 bulbs. If you have time, try removing 1 of the bulbs in each type of circuit to see what happens to the other bulb.
